A small, lavishly dressed, and immaculately groomed Goblin wearing an huge yellow pimp hat adorned with an immense peacock feather stuck into the zebra striped band approaches the podium. Two scantily clad witch elf twins struggle to carry the goblin's fur lined cape, as he scampers up the short stool behind the podium...

"Good evening ladies and orcs! First of all, I would like to be the first to welcome back Coach Uldreg and Sturm von Stahl's very own The Word Famous Funkadelics! Coach Uldreg has returned from the private island I bought him following his victory in the Category 6 tournament. Coach, I trust the island and it's inhabitants were quite, 'accomodating''? Of course this isn't some welcome home party, well it isn't yet, but I do have a major announcement....

On behalf of the Smelladelphia Uggles, last season's run away Bloodsplosion champions, I will be sponsoring this year's event. Don't let that love light shine on the Uggles too long though, this is also a welcome back event for the World Famous Funkadelic's. As much as I know that The World Famous Funkadelic's will win this, I am inviting anyone who can field a moderately skillful Blood Bowl team to sign up and get pummeled! As a consolation prize, the first player to get kicked off the field by the Mothership Connection gets a free night in my pleasure dome... Just remember when Flames Brownstain hosts a tournament, he does it right! Ladies!"

Rules

The Bloodsplosion Invitational is a straight double elimination knock out tournament for teams of any TV above 1500. Just teams coming from private leagues are eligible though, no public league teams. However, if your team has played in a private league and just played a few public league matches after leaving its home league, you can still apply. The TV minimum of 1500 is voided for Goblin and Halfling teams.
The SvS Bloodsplosion Invitational will use standard inducements and follow the SvS League Rules and game philosophy if not stated otherwise. We will try to seed players so that they will just play against opponents of a similar time zone as long as possible during the tournament.

The winning team of the SvS Bloodsplosion Invitational will get invited to play Sturm von Stahl next Season in a division as high as drop outs allow it. This means, the Bloodsplosion winner will most certainly be invited to play in one of the second divisions in SvS Season 10. However, there is also a chance that he will go directly into Division 1, already playing for the league title next season.
